Fourth of July damage guide

Firework damage? Photos first.

If there is ash, burns, cracked glass, or residue, document it before cleaning. Firework damage is often comprehensive — but policies vary.

MLUX is not an insurance provider. Coverage, deductibles, and rate outcomes depend on your policy and carrier.

Actual firework damage examples

Look for burns, residue, chips, and ash.

Skip the long text explanation. Photos are enough. We will tell you if it looks like a quick cleanup, paint repair, or something worth documenting for insurance.

The repair work was done to perfection! Dropped my Tesla off on Sunday and it was ready by Thursday. Marius and the team kept me updated throughout the entire process.

Quick answer

Send the photos. We’ll help you decide.

If the damage is minor, we will say so. If it needs documentation, paint work, or insurance review, we will guide the next step.

FAQ

Is firework damage considered vandalism?

Only when the facts point to intentional damage — for example, if someone aimed, threw, or placed fireworks at the vehicle. Firework debris, ash, paint burns, smoke residue, or glass damage may still be handled under comprehensive coverage, but the carrier decides the classification.

Will it affect my insurance rate?

Comprehensive claims are generally treated differently than at-fault collision claims, but no repair shop can promise rate outcomes. Your carrier, policy, deductible, state rules, and claim history can all matter.

What should I do before cleaning the car?

Take wide photos, close-up photos, and pictures of any ash, residue, burn marks, broken glass, or debris around the vehicle. If it looks intentional, get a police report number before repairs begin.
